World TB Day 2025 Activities – District Chest Clinic Rathnapura
The District Chest Clinic (DCC) Rathnapura organized a series of impactful World TB Day 2025 activities to raise awareness, promote early detection, and engage the community in TB prevention and control efforts.
1.TB Day Celebratory Walk – Started on 24th March at 8:30 AM, the walk started from Teaching Hospital Rathnapura and proceeded to Rathnapura Town Hall, bringing together healthcare workers, community members, and stakeholders to advocate for TB awareness and elimination.
2. Multi-Sectoral Awareness Programme at Rathnapura Town Hall – This session gathered health officials, community leaders, and various organizations to discuss TB prevention strategies, treatment options, and the importance of early diagnosis.
3. Art Competition Among School Children – To engage the younger generation, a TB-themed art competition was conducted, encouraging students to express their understanding of TB awareness and prevention through creative artworks.
4. Posters, Leaflets, and Sticker Campaign in the District – A comprehensive information dissemination campaign was carried out, ensuring that vital TB awareness messages reached public places throughout the district.
